Connect With Embishun

GFM: We love the video! Do you have any projects in development?
Embishun: I am currently in the studio working on my upcoming album, it's titled Bright Girl Dark Thoughts.. It is due out this Fall.

GFM: Where do you hope to be in 5-10yrs time with your music?
Embishun: I hope to be reviewing my Rosetta Stone catalog, trying to learn some new words cause I got a show coming up in one of them countries I ain't ever heard of.

GFM: Tell me about your creative process. What goes through your mind when choosing music to write to, writing an actual song, and recording your material?
Embishun: Usually, I just feel all warm and fuzzy and shit.. Not to be corny but If I hear a beat and I like it, I usually know from the first time I hear it. It feels right.  It's like I already imagine and hear the song in my head but all I have to do is find the perfect words to fit my perfect melody. I usually start with the hook and then go into the first verse. Other then that, I like to compose without music and just write a long poem and break it up. When I record I always try to get my mind right and think of what emotion it is that I'm tryin to share with the track.

GFM: Which musical artists, producers, bands, or groups would you most like to work with?
Embishun: This is a hard one! I'll name five.. Ms. Alicia Keys is my NUMERO 1. The others aren't in a specific order but Timbaland, Romeo Santos, Jay Z, and Dr. Dre.

GFM: Do you have any other talents or skills?
Embishun: I'm an alright cook. When I'm home, I spend most of my time in the kitchen.

GFM: What's the first thing you'd do with $10 Million for immediate satisfaction? How would you invest the remainder of that amount?
Embishun: The first thing I'd do is make sure my grandparents are alright for the rest of their time. I'd send my mom some money, save some and take a vacation with my significant other in order to figure out what we gon' do and how we can spread this music.
